Viton® Gasket Material (FKM)

A chemically resistant gasketing, perfect for cutting gaskets for a wide range of applications including: flat seals, door seals, and industrial applications. Standard size sheets are in stock or can be custom manufactured to your specifications. Viton ® is a high tech. elastomer designed for extreme heat, oil and chemical resistance. Viton® resists aliphalactic aromatic and halogenated hydrocarbons, concentrated acids, alkalis, animal and vegetable oils.
Restrictions:

Viton® is not generally resistant to ketones, low molecular weight esters (such as ethyl acetate), or nitro containing compounds. products are not usually serviceable below - 15 degrees F.

There are different types of Viton. Q. What is FKM?

A. FKM is the ASTM designation for the fluoroelastomer category. It is not a mark of quality. Not all FKMs are equivalent, and some may fall short on desired performance.
